Review on πŸ’§ Sprite Slim-Line (SLC) Blue Shower Filter Replacement Cartridge for Enhanced Water Purification by Robert Hardin

Happy customer fits shower head filter

I might upgrade to an HO filter as the drought here in California has caused water utilities to add more chloramines to the water, which is a mixture of ammonia and chlorine. The Sprite doesn't mention this as its purpose as it lists some chloramines, but there is free chlorine in the water that breaks down and there are other impurities and sludge in the water so my stylist said my hair was softer and I didn't have hers said what i did. I can add an activated carbon filter after the Sprite KDF filter or just go the HO route. The combined chlorine level here averages 2.2 ppm, which I think is a bit high. I use R/O water for cooking (not steaming), drinking, team, coffee and aquarium water. I refuse to use chemicals in the aquarium. Anyway, Sprite works fine. Others who complained that Home Depot sold the best. I can't vouch for this, I bought my first one from Home Depot but when I saw it online here I bought it and yes they don't last as long as they did a few years ago but 6 months isn't the max lifespan the minimum. and when the water quality deteriorates, the filters don't last as long

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Negligible maintainability
