Big bang for your buck$. This unit plays well on a shelf - (recommended height from waist to eye level, facing forward) 3-6 inches from a wall where nothing is blocking sound propagation. My garage was only 2/3 volume (2 car open garage) and I could be heard well over 3 houses. On the circuit, a 6 hp motor generator. Realistically this is designed to work well indoors and the bonus is that you can turn it off with your phone if you need to. I'm extremely critical of the quality of the music after winning the IASCA. Given its size, this little radio gives me satisfaction when I'm working in my shed, garage, or just lounging on my porch or kitchen. In a room the size of two cars, the sound bounces around with precision, allowing me to forget about home surround speakers while still maintaining comfortable control. It was well thought out for music playback just needs to refine its options for future techs/ girls I highly recommend this for desk cabinet users, studio apartment and workshop mechanics to expand their environment without being bulky and space conscious. Bluetooth has a reasonable range, but not perfect. Not recommended for patio parties but suitable for camping with minimal noise pollution. Bass varies depending on location and solid background. My wife was so impressed she stopped looking at the Bose kitchen speaker. That's a pretty strong positive impression imo. Pros: Bass is decent for a small device. Not very noticeable Bluetooth won't disappoint Battery life will impress Sound quality will impress you in a small area (a garage in my case) Reliable build quality Cons: Sound is weak outdoors Also needs to be charged with a phone charger Proper for best sound needs to position.
