I doubted how thin the material could be, but this isn't the kind of "stretchy thin" material that has all the flaws. It's thick and great quality. This dress really stands out! I loved the ruffles at the waist and thought it made it very slimming. I ordered the blue color and it's great in person. It's a bit shiny but doesn't look cheap.
