Works great in normal lighting. You can see that very well. Even in low light, anything you write or draw is still visible, just not as bright. I've attached it to my fridge with magnets on the back. It's so light and the magnets are more than strong enough to hold it in place. The handle has 2 sides which I think should be thin and thick. Although the difference between the two sides is small. You get very nice clean lines when you write on it. I've never tried more expensive devices so can't really compare, but this works great for me. Overall for the price (I bought the pink because it was way cheaper back then) this is a great product. I assume the battery will last a long time since it's only used to clear the screen. Speaking of which, there's a lock switch at the bottom that prevents accidental or intentional blanking of the screen unless you know it's there.
