Dark blue with a very slight green tinge (in my opinion). Set of 2 mugs with lids - I mistakenly thought there were 4 mugs. The mugs are very comfortable - durable, heavy, comfortable to hold in hand. I love the look and the lack of handles as I like to use the mug to warm my hands while sipping on a hot beverage. They easily hold 1.5 cups of tea with room to add and stir milk, lemon, etc. There is a thin silicone sleeve that makes your grip very secure and is also a bit like an oven mitt as it protects your hand from a very hot mug. Ceramic dishes are quite heavy and, together with the sleeve and lid, hold heat well if you want to slurp your drink slowly. It's not clear if it's necessary to remove the case before washing in the dishwasher, but so far I don't remove it and it seems normal. The lid is great for everyday use around the house, it holds up well and prevents spills, but it's not designed to be screwed down or completely blocked.
