Review on πŸ”Š Anker Soundcore Icon Mini: Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker, Explosive Sound, High IP67 Water Resistance (Black) by Mark Albright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good sound only with one glaring flaw

Having owned and used Anker's Soundcore Sport for several years I was delighted to receive and try my new Soundcore Icon Mini. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was short-lived. Sound quality was the same, if not slightly worse, than my previous Soundcore Sport. The new Soundcore Icon Mini has a similarly sized main driver but with a passive cooler to add some bass. But the obvious downside that will make me want to come back to this is that it's nearly impossible to stand the speaker upright without it falling over. The underside of the speaker isn't perfectly flat and has a subtle curvature, making it extremely prone to falls. How no one thought of that is beyond me. If you're looking for a waterproof speaker for under $50, I'd check out UE's Wonderboom.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Easily repairable
