I really wanted this light to love her and still love her, but god those wires are thinner than angel hair spaghetti. "16 gauge pins" should refer to the entire sheath of the wires since the wires themselves are 24 gauge at best. I hope you have good wire strippers or you'll break at least one of those wires trying to strip the insulation. I also managed to break one of the solder joints on the LED board by putting a zip tie on it. because you definitely can't confide in glue alone. I fixed it but it was still annoying that the connection was so brittle. The light itself is fantastic. When connected correctly the brake light activates fine and the turn signals work, although I don't currently use this feature as I prefer the original turn signals and they are not very bright in this strip because they are drowned out by the red LEDs. Note: If you have an old bike or a bike with bulbs, there is a good chance that the flashing function will not work. The yellow indicators light up but do not flash. It's your old turn signal relay. You will need a new one that supports LEDs, they are available here at Revain. I found one that came with a connector instead of two pins, but it worked great when I connected it to the relay wires. As an added benefit, most of these new relays are solid state relays, so you'll get rid of that annoying click even if you can even hear it through your bike. a nightmare to work with if you're not a surgeon.
