no fan, just stick the keyboard to the case with magnets i wanted one that has room for your tablet, eg case and keyboard built in so the case is basically like a laptop but they also have a case for iPadsm it's horrible it's just not what I want it's still a good case I wouldn't Buying it because I didn't like it, it just didn't suit my needs, but other than that it's a well built case that works well, so I recommend if you don't mind the keyboard being held in place with strong magnets, and it's good that they aren't flimsy, they hold up well, and under the keyboard there's a metal plate for extra strength
