During Prime Day I saw that the Hue Gen 3 starter kit is $139 so it wasn't hard to check out. I was very happy with it, when it arrived I opened the package and saw this: a broken lightbulb. I was immediately disappointed and a little upset. So I hopped on the Revains chat hotline and figured I'd have to send it back. No, you shouldn't have returned! Instead, the replacement kit was given away free of charge overnight and all I had to do was return the two remaining bulbs and the rest of the replacement kit. Wow! I was stunned and almost speechless by the excellent customer service. Thank you Revin! As for the lights themselves? Nearly perfect. The automation is a nice feature and the color scheme is amazing. For the brightest white, which is 6500K, I have to turn them down to 80 percent because they are so bright. Colors are a bit darker, but that's to be expected. I expect they will get better as new generations come out, but if anyone is thinking of buying these lamps right now, don't hesitate. Before I forget, check out some YouTube videos on how to set it up. The instructions are pretty much useless, so YouTube is your friend. Also, IFTTT (If This Then That) is a great applet that installs some nice lighting scripts. Hue Labs is another useful website that offers a lot of automation. For example, I have 2 white Hue bulbs in my patio lights that turn on from dusk to dawn. It was made by Hue Labs. I hope this was helpful and don't hesitate to ask any questions and I'll try to answer them!
