Cheap and imperfect 4K webcam

This webcam is hard to review. I believe that most of the statements he makes are hardly technically correct, but actually they are not that honest. Although the webcam can output videos in 4K resolution, the image quality is absolutely terrible. I'm not exactly sure but I think the video is upscaled from 1080. Also, almost no other video chat service uses such high resolution. From my testing, Skype, Google Meet, Zoom, Webex Meetings, etc. all downgraded the video quality to 720. So 4K, but not really. It claims to work in low light, but I've never seen anything that leads me to believe it's an improved feature. Things were visible in low light but still dark. Interestingly, the video was blurry in well-lit rooms. In addition, the color saturation was at the limit. I had a warm yellow LED light in my room and the entire video was mustard. No other camera caught that. The autofocus seems to work well. The microphone seems to be working properly. The noise canceling feature didn't seem to be present in the microphone itself. Software has it, so again technically true. Additional add-ons were lackluster. The tripod worked but not very good quality; it needs to be replaced if you are going to use it a lot. The privacy cover is a slider, so you need to install it yourself. This works for video but not for audio. All in all, this isn't the best webcam out there. Of course if you want something cheap that will work well enough with 1080 it will work but they are probably better for cheaper.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I won't say anything
