I dropped my Aspire laptop a few weeks ago and thought it was 'dead' but was glad to know when I googled what to do, what if you put it on one Plug in a newer type of monitor or TV and get a picture, then it's just a screen that needs replacing. I got expensive quotes from laptop repair shops to have it fixed. So when I read the reviews here and gave the helpful info to a YouTube video that showed you exactly how to install this. I'm NOT very technical with hardware, cables, wires etc. I watched the video and followed it carefully and this replacement screen worked great! My screen image was bright and clear (I also bought a second replacement screen from another seller here on Revain and it had display issues with horizontal banding at the top and bottom of the screen). To replace the screen, you'll need a small Phillips screwdriver, maybe tweezers (if you have big fingers. The screws that hold your laptop's case are very small), and a small sharp knife or sinew (to pry the small plastic covers on the pry off the screen). screws on the bottom corner of your laptop screen frame); I actually used a small knife to start removing the lid (which was probably the hardest part of the whole process as it didn't come off right away). Another potentially tricky part for a newbie replacing their laptop screen is removing the bezel after removing the screws. You use your fingertips to pry the bezel off the screen. You will hear a pop or crackle when you open the lid (this is a type of "pop" when you stick a knife under the lid of a glass jar). to help open). The corners are the awkward part to "pop out". But once that's off, loosen the tiny screws holding the screen in place. The trick with this process - was that the connector to the laptop (you'll see it's taped in place) needs to be carefully removed and then inserted when you put in the new screen - make sure you make a good connection , if you put it back in, and note how it was originally done.) So I saved the package by making it myself. And it wasn't hard and the screen works great. There are no instructions for this, so just watch the video if this is your first time and you need help.
