First, the glass is beautiful. I bought the sea wave color and it is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. It has a smooth, perfect finish that feels great in hand. No sharp edges, areas of skimmed paint, or rough patches. The lid fits well, the opening/closing mechanism on the lid slides smoothly. The straws are beautiful, heavy and seem incredibly strong. The straw brush is amazing and a must have. I wanted a glass that would keep my drinks really cold. I walk a lot in the heat and there's nothing worse than sipping a warm drink in just a few hours on a warm day. While I haven't had a chance to fully test this switch on the elements in the conditions where I'm looking for performance, my initial experience makes me very optimistic - and it's definitely superior to anything I currently have. On first use, fill the glass with an appropriate amount of ice and drink around 2:00 p.m. I used it all day just to add my drink but didn't have to add extra ice. In the evening I went to bed around midnight (!) and put the glass on the counter to wash myself in the morning. The next morning I went to clean out and wash - IT STILL HAS ICE FROM YESTERDAY. what is this magic The only thing I regret at the moment is that I didn't buy the larger version or several of them! (I'll update my review if that changes over the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to trying it out in the heat. If I can get a cold drink out of this glass for six hours, I'll be a lifelong fan and loud advocate!)
