While working from home during this pandemic I set up a nice office in the basement. Unfortunately unfinished, and in the winter months it gets dark at 4:00 p.m. When I'm free, I turn off all the lights in the basement and feel my way up the basement stairs. In the summer, when it's sometimes light until 9 p.m., this is usually not a problem. My little finger inevitably takes the brunt of my stumbling in the dark. I mean, isn't that what they're for? Sacrificial food for table legs? Anyway, now that I have these things in my basement and upstairs, my toes should never be afraid of the dark again! I like that they are rechargeable. I had other flashlights but I was tired of constantly changing batteries. And that magnetic mounting disk! What a great idea! Attach the disc to the riser and the light will stick directly to it! This is definitely something I would buy again! ***EDIT*** I actually bought them again. I have two sets of these. One for the stairs to the basement and one for the cloakroom in the hallway.
