I have somewhat of a bony/protruding tailbone that is bothersome when I do any type of crunches on the floor or even from a yoga mat. I bought this hoping it would help with those types of exercises so my form could be improved. It does, but I do find it a bit hard to balance on. Maybe if it was a little wider? Not a very big person but perhaps it's just a matter of me doing more crunches so I CAN balance better! ;) Works better than not having anything or simply putting a towel underneath my bum.
