Big enough for an adult to sit in. Buy 2 if you need a footrest. It has a washable outer lid with a lock to prevent children from getting inside. Has 2 keys. When opened, the beanbag closes with a double zipper. I am very happy with this purchase, the kids love them. I have 5, 3 and 1.5 years. Right now it's 2 small stocks but I'm going to buy the 3rd. It's been two years and I've washed the covers several times. I had to sew a few holes in the inner sack but that's because my kids use them as landing pads from the top bunk.
