I was first introduced to weighted blankets by a friend who gave me another brand of the same size and weighing 12 pounds. I really liked the blanket that was donated, which actually cost twice as much, but wanted to try a heavier one. Got this £15 burgundy blanket and decided to try the £20 gray blanket (the burgundy was out of stock). To be honest I couldn't tell the difference in weight when everyone was on my bed. So I returned the £20 gray since the burgundy matches my bedroom color scheme. I love this blanket so much. The color burgundy is actually burgundy, not red. It's not maroon, but definitely maroon. Although the duvet is heavy overall, it doesn't feel heavy when you sleep under it. Although the weight of the blanket is recommended based on your weight, the size of the blanket does not count. For example, a 15-pound twin-size blanket will appear much heavier than a queen-size blanket because the weight is distributed over a much larger area. Then the size of the ceiling is not considered in the recommendations. This blanket does not have the "rubber" feel or noise that more expensive blankets have. This may be due to the 7 layers of padding in this duvet. In summary, this blanket is so soft and comfortable that it will easily replace my blankets for the winter. I should also mention that I recently measured my sleep on the Samsung Watch 3 and my sleep scores have improved a lot since using this blanket. Before using this blanket my sleep score was usually around 49 because I was awake most of the night tossing and turning. Since using this blanket, my sleep score is consistently around 70 because I wake up much less often and sleep more deeply at night. Needless to say I highly recommend this blanket.
