Interesting backpack. Keep in mind that the backpack alone weighs over 2 pounds. That's probably because it's two backpacks sewn together. I thought there was one set of shoulder straps but there are two of them. Put the unused one in your pocket. They don't come off completely, just come off at the base. I didn't realize how heavy the backpack was and in the end my hooks fell off the wall due to the weight. At that time there was nothing in the bag. I hope that the backpack won't be too heavy for my fourth grader when he packs all his books in his bag.
