I bought this cable to use with a DVR. I bought the 10ft version to have enough length to route the cable behind the dash and around the edge of the windshield. I also have my dashcam here at Revain. Camera and cable arrived 2 days ago (Saturday). The camera manual recommends plugging it into AC power for 12 hours before first use to fully charge the battery. I connected it to my Anker 5-port USB charger on a Sunday night using the 6-foot mini-USB cable I already had. I took the new 10 foot cable to the car to get ready for this morning. On the way to work, the camera worked fine, but on the way home, about halfway through, it suddenly turned off. It then started cycling on-off-off until I unplugged the USB cable. I tried another way of plugging the cable directly into my machine's USB port instead of the 3-port outlet adapter that it had. no difference. Back at home, I connected the camera to the Anker charger with a 10ft CMPLE cable. same problem. I then connected my other 6ft thicker mini USB cable and it worked great. Moral of the story: if you just need to connect something that doesn't require power or USB charging, it should work just fine. But if you need power or charging, look elsewhere.
