Review on Astromania Illuminated Reticle Telescope Eyepiece by Robert Howell
Dirt between lens and reticle glass!
I bought this so we could quickly align our 50mm hydroscope and main telescope. It's raining, so I only had a quick look at the goods. The lens is mounted in a threaded eyepiece in front of a reticle. It will be great for precise focus. I found 4-5 pieces of dirt between the lens and the crosshairs! The eyepiece unscrews completely so it's easy to manipulate, but it's disappointing.
- Excellent for precise polar and initial alignment and centering reference stars for astrophotography.
