I'll get to the heart of Sennheiser in a moment, but first a little background. Like you, I've tried many brands and styles of on-ear and in-ear headphones, wired and bluetooth, with and without noise canceling. I like headphones with a full, rich sound and tight, powerful bass. A few years ago I stumbled across LG neck headphones that were perfect. They lasted about 18 months before the battery died and of course I replaced it with another LG. this only lasted about three months before the plastic broke and one of the wires came loose from the earpiece - at the start of a two week holiday! Sorry LG, never again! At the airport I found a pair of Sony headphones that fit for the flight home but were so-so. Then I got the new Apple AirPods for Christmas and they fit me well. But even though they've never fallen out, I'm always afraid that they'll probably do so at the worst possible moment. So I looked for another pair of in-ear neckphones and after reading many, many articles and recommendations I settled on the Sennheiser based on the comments on their sound. The reviews were spot on - the perfect sound I was looking for. However, some comments on the review indicated that reviewers were concerned about how the neckband fits or the wires not retracting. Nevertheless I bought them. They look amazing and sound amazing! They are the ideal alternative to airfields. I pretty much split my time between Sennheiser and Apple 60/40. The battery life of the Sennheiser is amazing and the sound is full and rich, just the way I like it. But some of the reviewers' comments were correct and perhaps should have had more weight in my decision. The fact that the headphones are always hanging around when they're not in my ears looks silly and is more negative than not. And I have a LARGE 18-1/2" neck, but the neckband keeps slipping so that one side or the other is 90 degrees off where it should be, which is annoying. Everything else is satisfactory or even better - Controls, charging time, etc - none of that matters, so if sound quality and battery life are what matters most to you, check out these well-built and good-looking headphones with great sound, but if their design flaws become an issue for you, it may worth considering other options.
