I bought this chair to have in my home office as I've been working from home a lot lately. Compared to the regular office chair I have at work, this La-Z-Boy is a huge disappointment. I figured I'd spend the extra money and treat myself to a nice executive office chair for the home. I want to keep the box. Don't get me wrong, this is a great looking chair. In addition, the material and workmanship are quite good. Leather feels comfortable and the chair itself seems durable. My only problem is sitting in it. I love it when my seat is reclined a bit and when I sit in this chair I constantly feel like I'm sliding forward and out. This chair has a recline feature that only allows you to rock backwards (when the dial is fully disengaged), but it will not lock into any position other than fully forward. This is just a useful elevation adjustment, there is no real "adjustment" other than tension in the tilt. I could try to find someone to help me put the gasket in below while I recline a bit. We could then seal it with tape to keep it from falling out and then re-tighten the tilt function. My recommendation: if you want to spend the extra money on something good, keep looking.
