Review on πŸͺ‘ FH Group PU205SOLIDGRAY102 Ultra Comfort Leatherette Front Seat Cushion - Solid Gray (Airbag Compatible) by Mike West

Difficult to mount on a closed rear seat, but looks very nice!

Nice faux leather that feels very strong, soft and comfortable but doesn't affect the heated seats. Gray goes well with brown leather interior. Gives a very good upgrade for my 2007 Acura MDX. The Acura MDX has no open gap at the back (between the backrest and the seat), which makes installation difficult. You can feel where the disc goes, but it's difficult to position it so that it hooks and doesn't slip out, but it can be done! After the first CD, it became easier to figure out which tools worked best. Instructions **** * BACKREST CLOSED*** First remove the headrest and then pull the rear seat cover back into place. This is a little tedious and is easier when the lid is warm. The cover didn't fit the seat exactly, but that was ok. I think it fits the seat better when it gets hot. Now simply place the bottom cover on the seat. Hook the disc into the elastic loops. The main thing is that they are attached correctly! Now the hardest part. The goal is to slide the butterfly-shaped edges of the disc behind the seatback and bring it into an upright position. The top of the disc is caught on the seat back and the bottom of the disc is caught on the seat cushion. I used two smaller open-end wrenches. I positioned them on either side of the elastic so the C-shaped portion hooks into the disc, allowing me to "push" the disc deep into the slot in the saddle. This is where it gets tricky. I pressed so that the bottom flange went deep behind the seat cushion. Wide enough for the top flange to separate the edge of the cushion from the seat back. I had to use a wide flathead screwdriver to get the top flange in a vertical position. That's it, that's the hardest part. It takes a lot of feeling to tell you that the disc is vertical and not slipping out. I found it helpful to recline the seatback a bit first and adjust it while pressing the top flange into place. The rest is a piece of cake and you can follow the usual instructions. Memory. The instructions I have shared are for a closed back car seat with no cut behind the seat.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not bad
