Measurements are definitely important.
The hinge barely fit my GD-X6900 G-SHOCK. You can do it, but I wouldn't get this loop again for the same hours. Get something at least 3-5mm larger. I gave it 4 stars because it still gets the job just with a bit of unnecessary hassle.
