I love the look of these hooks and how incredibly strong they are. I originally bought these to hang my hats on the wall without drilling holes in the wall and using something that will eventually dent where the hat will sit, so it was a great compromise. Before purchasing, I knew that once installed, they cannot be removed. Unfortunately I didn't properly measure the layout plan for how I wanted to display the hats, or even what wall I wanted to place them on. I originally moved them up and down the side of the mirror, but ended up not liking their placement. Even though I knew they weren't removable, I removed them anyway. At the same time, the stickiness tore off the paint and several layers of the wall. I was able to detach the rest of the wall from the back of the hooks and hang them on a dresser above the dresser (I had 3 unopened ones to use so I ended up only using 2 of the 5 I had on the first wall) . I still have to patch where the snags were (I've photoshopped the image to post on my Instagram) but I tend to fix patches rather than holes so I'm happy. The second time I placed them on a different wall they were still very sticky so everything worked perfectly. However, I am planning to buy another bag to replace two of the six used hooks. If you plan to use them, be smart and make sure you know exactly where you need them!
