I used the model number of the charger that came with my laptop to find a second one. I found cheap ones and wasn't happy with the reviews so stayed away from them. I bought this one because I felt it was exactly the same as Dell, just like my original. However, the cable is not the same. It has a second part to make it work with my computer. This leads me to believe that this is a universal charger using different tips for different computers. The only reason I gave it three stars is because it works just as well as my original.
