I bought these because disposable gloves make my hands sweat when doing small things like changing watch batteries. That's what these beds are for me. They don't break when I put them on my fingertips, and they don't break unless you hit them with sharp objects. Make sure you are buying the right site. The middle side stops the circulation in the fingertips. I have medium/large hands and not too fat fingers and I think I should buy the XL.
