Review on Canon Mirrorless Camera 18 55Mm Stabilization by Alex Pollard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great travel camera

I have a Canon 5DS and a range of professional lenses but I was reluctant to take them on a family holiday to Europe. So I chose this camera. The camera is of course not as fast as my DSLR. It takes longer to power on, takes longer to focus, and takes longer to recover from the shot. Autofocus is easier to fool, so you end up with more blurry shots. However, once you get used to the slowness, the camera works very well. I took about 400 raw photos and after a little adjustment in the light room I got a lot of really amazing shots. I took both the full zoom lens and the F22mm lens with me. I've only used a zoom lens once and relied on F22 99% of the time. This lens is much faster, the bokeh is much nicer and thanks to the camera's high pixels I was able to shoot in a bright room when needed. So you don't really need a zoom lens. So the camera doesn't disappoint at all. Obviously, for 10 times the weight and cost, you're getting a more responsive camera. But whatever it was, I thought it was very good and will take it with me on future trips! With a 22 lens
