Like other reviewers, I was concerned to see the hat folded into a small bag and surprised to see the elastic band inside the hat. I simply cut off the tape and placed the hat on top of the other hat on a flat surface, causing it to bounce back into shape. I wore this hat to a wedding in the south of France and received so many compliments that I ended up giving it to one of the many women who asked for it. Think of it as a destructible hat (mine was packed in a case and restored to the shape you see in the attached photos). It has NO wire in the edge, but again (as you can see in the attached pictures) the edge can be made into any shape you want. The hat is NOT organza but linen but the weather in France was 104 degrees on my wedding day and because it is breathable I never had to take my hat off. Simply put, this is a classic and stylish hat, perfect for travel intensive weddings and worth every penny in my opinion!
