I have had my 7 lb chihuahua from November 1st to now (12/4 to date) and I can tell a noticeable difference in his health. Background: I adopted him a year ago, he was 8 years old, he has stage 3 heartworm. We put him on slow treatment: 1 month oral doxycycline followed by a 2 month break, three times. A month after starting treatment, he developed congestive heart failure and began taking Lasix, Enalipril, and Vetmedin twice a day. His cough developed into spasms that caused him to lose control of his muscles, so he was given Temaral twice a day. In October, after research and concerns about long-term use of Temarar, a steroid, a veterinarian devised a plan to wean him. It did not work. He started coughing heavily again. That's when I came across this product. Mr. Fox coughed frequently during the day. After taking this for about 3 weeks I noticed that he rarely coughed so I decided to try again to wean him from Temarar. This was successful and I am now on my 3rd day off temaral with no noticeable increase in cough. I have tried many different supplements to help him because he is the best dog he just got into a rough hand. Nothing else I bought seemed to have any effect. I also add CoQ10 to his food but I think this particular product really helped him.
