Review of Speedo Tri-Clops

I've searched everywhere for a review of this pack to no avail. So I made the decision to purchase based on the specs listed and the comparison I made to other top backpack reviews I had read. In general it seems like a good package. It has many dedicated compartments for your gear, as well as external straps to keep everything in place. My biggest complaint, however, concerns the "shoe compartments". There are two mesh pockets on either side of the inner side panels as well as two compartments on the inside front of the backpack. I wear size 10.5 cycling shoes and size 11 running shoes. While I was able to fit each shoe into the mesh pockets, it was very difficult to get them out in another set of pockets. The opening was too narrow and they weren't long enough for the shoes to stick out. Once I managed to put them on, it became difficult to close the entire backpack due to the main zipper colliding between the two pairs of shoes. The shoes seemed to be on top of each other. If you have really small feet from very thin running shoes then this might work for you. Otherwise, you're limited to allocating mesh pockets for one pair of shoes and finding another spot for another pair (wetsuit placement seems like a better alternative). While I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker, it's disappointing. I bought this pack almost exclusively for shoe stains. Haven't used this pack for racing yet, but the wrist straps feel nice and most compartments are functional. I really like the triple zip system. This allows it to be opened as a top loader, gym bag or side entry. This 50 liter backpack resembles a hiking backpack. I'm not sure I would recommend it as an everyday bag unless you left it in your car or did multiple sports on the same day. Seems like a "dirt bag" would work well for a wet kit. Overall, the material makes a robust impression. Not sure what I think of mesh coated rear pads or how well they work on concrete. Let's see how it holds up. I haven't decided yet whether I'll come back or not. Hope that helps.
