Review on StarTech.com Dual Monitor KVM Docking Station - for Two Laptops - 4K - File Transfer - Universal USB Laptop Dock (USB3DDOCKFT) by Ben Jacobson

This product was purchased to dock 2 laptops, share files and 2 monitors. Only used computers with docking station, maybe twice a week and only with light to medium personal load. No business. Right from the start I noticed the noise coming from inside the device. This is my first experience with this docking station and I thought the noise was normal. On 09/13/2019 the device did not work. I reinstalled the drivers downloaded from StarTech.com according to the instructions but to no avail. I disconnected and reconnected all the cables as installed when the unit was working. Both monitors showed "no signal". I tested my computers and monitors by connecting them directly to the HDMI and VGA ports. Both computers and monitors worked perfectly. Also, by traversing the computer ports directly, I got a noticeable speed boost and delay compensation that I've grown accustomed to over the last 18 months. To be fair, this review only speaks of my experience with a device. I am sure that many people have bought this product and are satisfied with it. I want to be one of them.
