If you're considering this item, I'll spare you the rest of my review by telling you to do it! It far exceeded my expectations and frankly impressed me. If I'm impressed, I'm sure others who see my home office will appreciate the aesthetic as well. It is not only stylish but also very functional. I usually run my laptop and desktop with four screens at the same time. This rug brings order to this chaos and offers space for two keyboards, two mice and a small notepad. When ordering this rug I assumed that the underlay and the entire rug would be thicker. I was very pleased to find that it is very thin but not to the point where it detracts from the quality. I haven't had any issues with it slipping, so the rubber base is enough to keep it in place. I ordered plain blue. I would suggest solid colors instead of "leather" for the simple reason that they are microfiber leather. All authentic leather colors do not look like real leather and end up looking less premium than they actually are. This is just my opinion. I can't say anything about the durability yet, but at this price I won't be disappointed if I have to buy a new one every year. This time I expect it to take much longer. The travel capability of the reel belt is a nice addition if you want to take it on vacation or a long business trip. I don't think it would be useful for regular trips to a coffee shop, classroom, or library just because of the size of the mat (31" x 15.5") when it is present. Fantastic style, fantastic price, fantastic quality!
