Not for the elderly
They are a little tall. This is good if your feet are swollen. I would not recommend it for an elderly person who is afraid of falling. The hard plastic outsole doesn't feel slippery enough. I ordered for my 78 year old mother. I'll keep them and invest in a pair of Hey Dudes for them. Or maybe she'll get a pair from her son and daughter-in-law for Christmas. Definitely it's good for the younger generation.
