These are great toothpicks. In the photo, bamboo is on the left, and the diamond mark is on the right. I used Diamond brand toothpicks which are very soft and lose their sharpness quickly. I was very happy to find them firm, strong, sharp, splinter free, flavorless and moist (unlike most toothpicks which taste like a tongue depressor at first). I bought them for price and quantity not knowing it was bamboo. I also didn't know the properties of bamboo that make it excellent for toothpicks. In short, I grind my teeth at night and use security. However, at almost 50 I still cause damage, I have less enamel and areas where food tries to hide. It's annoying because I try very hard to take care of my teeth. I have to use a toothpick after eating or madden everyone trying to brush their teeth. I will definitely buy more when they run out.
