I bought this because one of my cats is on a restricted diet due to IBD. I did not have high hopes as both of my cats have routinely rejected expensive, better-for-them wet food over the course of their 15 years and counting lives in favor of "junk food." To my surprise, they really like this cat food. It seems like something cats would go for because it has texture and moistness and is loose and easy to eat, unlike many of the other fancy and prescription brands, which I have found to have the consistency of dry, hard jello. It has a strong smell, which cats like, but it smells like real meat, which I don't mind. I also prefer this food to the chunks in gravy "junk food" because less goes to waste as my cats are inclined just to lick the gravy of the latter. Of course, it is insanely expensive so I rotate it with cheaper food, which also helps keep my cats from getting too bored.
