The bar is well set. The phone holder itself can be improved. This requires you to tighten a screw to secure the phone rather than using a spring-loaded clamp system, which is fine if you need to secure it off-road. Switching from portrait to landscape mode on the phone requires an Allen key, which is a little fiddly. My biggest complaint is that the two rubber adhesive pads fell off the phone mount in less than a month of use, leaving the entire phone case sticky and I'm afraid of using them without them and damaging the phone or dropping it. Look for other pole mount options to replace the phone holder, but the system itself is good. I was afraid it would affect visibility in the jeep, but it doesn't affect me in any way.
