I haven't used flash for a long time so time will tell how it fares; but for a hundred dollars this thing does 98 percent of what the $400 version from Canon does. I can buy three of these AND three yn 622 c flash triggers for a little more than a Canon 560. A few things to note though: 1) It doesn't have a weather protection like Canon, so if you're shooting indoors the rain flash (don't know why you should) is probably not a good idea. 2) You can't connect an external battery to it like Canon. However, I haven't noticed any issues with the battery compartment hinge breaking like others have reported and it's fine. The loading time is actually quite good. At half power I can fire 3-5 shots before it falls behind and needs to be reloaded. At full power there is a good full 2 seconds between each shot, but Canon isn't much better in my opinion. Update: I photographed a wedding with this flash and it worked well. Eventually it overheated, but after cooling it continued to work normally. Any flash overheats, so this is not a design flaw. Overall, I'm very impressed with what you get for a hundred dollars. The only thing that would be nice to see is a real locking knob on the pivoting part of the flash head to keep it from tipping down on impact with the flash shaper. But he stays where he's good enough.
