Review on Crystal Decanter Glasses by James Scott by Eddie Gordon

So before I bought this item I read a lot of reviews and was a bit confused as to whether the carafe is lead free. I noticed a few photos showing the mugs had a sticker that said "lead crystal" and the carafe had a sticker that said "lead free," so I went ahead and bought them. When I received the item I noticed the box said "Crystal Lead" and when I unpacked the set I noticed that all the items had a "Crystal Lead" sticker on them including the decanter. I bought this set to store some whiskey and as I don't want to die or go insane I thought it best to make sure the decanter is indeed lead free. I called the manufacturer and spoke to a gentleman who said he thought the carafe was lead free but the cups were definitely lead crystal, but he sounded very unsure. So I bought some lead tests that use the leaching method and what I found was really amazing and good. The carafe is lead-free, but so are the cups! LAUGH OUT LOUD. I suspect they claim it's lead crystal because then it might be more beneficial. Anyway I'm glad I can store whiskey in a decanter and it's a really great looking set. I only gave 4 stars because of the lead crystal hype.
