Review on πŸ’‘ Required Wixann Candelabra Assistant - Compatibility Enhanced by John Clark

Tedious installation, great results

These candelabra lamps took a tedious job to install. After installing the Smart Life app, the user will be prompted to toggle the light on and off three times to put it into pairing mode, indicated by the light flashing rapidly. I think the lightbulb then tries to communicate directly with the WLAN network. Pairing always failed. However, Wixann offers a second type of pairing mode that requires more switching on and off until the light starts blinking more slowly. It is very difficult to set the bulb to fast or slow flash mode. In any case, the slow blink mode prompts the user to select their own Wi-Fi radio bulb in their phone's Wi-Fi settings. For the Kasa and Hue lights I've installed, this is a no-brainer. But for these Wixann lamps it was a big disappointment. With just one of my four Wixann light bulbs, my iPhone saw the Wi-Fi bulb on the first try. Others have taken many, many, dare I say many attempts. I was on the verge of returning the whole set and so on until I realized I just had to keep trying...and trying. Eventually I connected all four to the Smart Life app and then to Alexa. Once set up, the bulbs are very impressive. Despite being rated at 450 lumens, they are brighter than I expected and have a nice, even glow over the full height of the lamp. With the Smart Life app you can dim the brightness, change the temperature and choose colors. Hue candelabra bulbs with similar specs are much more expensive than these. Alexa voice control controls on/off, brightness, color and even color temperature (warm white or daylight - customer service helped me with this). All's well that ends well.
