This review is for the Zumimall ZS-GX1SI, which was marketed as a wireless camera for investigating employee theft. I needed something that is motion activated and can be hidden in a warehouse and record incorrect actions. I stumbled upon this device because it looked like it would help and I was then able to remap it to record vehicles as it was completely wireless and I didn't need to plug in a power line. After reviewing the user manual, they offer a free 3-year extended warranty if you follow the website they provide. The required application is called CloudEdge App. microSD card (requires up to 128GB to record video when motion is detected by the sensor). Battery. The manual states that the camera has a built-in 10,400mAh 18650 battery that can be used for 3-6 months as long as the camera wakes up to 15 times. Only 10 minutes of video playback per day. There is a solar panel option for fully wireless charging. I could see this thing being used for a high tech trail cam. I was able to set up the camera with the charging cable still connected. So could you use it as a wired camera? The customized app had voice prompts, which was nice. It guides you through the setup and you enter your WiFi password into the app. The app will generate a QR code, then point the camera at your phone and the camera will take a snapshot of the setup code. MUCH better and faster than going into the camera and switching back and forth. The longest part for me was picking up the Wi-Fi password as it is long and complicated. The video quality is acceptable. The app has nice features like battery life and status. It also shows signal strength as well as MAC address and IP address. You can save to the cloud or use the app to access video files stored on the micro SD card. You can also broadcast live on-demand and receive notifications. The packaging states that the camera is "IP Weatherproof" but no rating is given. I would say it would be safe to be outside but I wouldn't trust this in heavy rain. I would be more concerned about water getting through both the antennas and the speaker. The buttons, SD card and charging slot are protected by a well-fitting rubber cover.
