Be Care Men's Care

I loved the razor that does it all. I just want to know what's in store for me. Keep in mind that this may be entirely my fault, so I'm not judging or judging, just telling what happened to me to save someone else from similar things. I received my new razor on August 31st. 2018. It was great to use this shaver for the first time. I liked how easy it was to use. The reason I got it was because my friend bought it. I found out about it one day during a business meeting, I noticed that he was rubbing this thing across his cheek and I asked him what he was doing and what that thing was. it looked like a razor. He said it was a Philips Norelco OneBlade hybrid electric trimmer and shaver and he shaved with it because he didn't have time to shave before the meeting. I checked it out and it looked quite innovative and I liked the concept. The next day I ordered one from Revain and when I received it I took it to try and accidentally dropped it in the sink. I saw that part of the blade had come loose and wasn't overly concerned. I've been shaving for over 30 years and this has happened to me many times. However, when I went to pick it up and put it back together, I saw that the plastic shank of the blade itself was broken. It was so tiny and so fragile that it was impossible to glue it even with PRO Super Glue (and believe me I tried). So I messaged the seller detailing exactly what happened and he sent me a return label and a brand new razor which I received 2 days later. I still think about how many times I've dropped my old-fashioned razor in the sink. , bathroom, campsite or anywhere else and all I had to do was put everything together. So I thought that this new progressive era we live in has some flaws and I just can't give up my new razor if I want to keep using it. Especially when a replacement blade costs $25 each for just a blade refill. Now the decisive argument. The fragility of this really cool and handy device is NOT the reason I'm writing this review. I had a picture of my friend/business partner shaving right before a meeting a few weeks ago and I thought it was pretty cool. So I couldn't wait to use this new magic razor in the same way. Of course, I was late for the meeting and hadn't shaved yet, so I figured no problem, I'd just walk away. go to the bathroom at work and shave before the meeting, which I did. The most important thing to know about this razor is that the flat side of the blade is designed to shave your face but not as closely shaved. it maintains a 3 hour shade which is good for a weekend party with friends but not a work meeting. So if you want a close shave, you need to sit down and run the razor over your face a few times, shaving your beard off a little each time. OR, you can do the same as me. The blade on this razor is for trimming sideburns, mustaches etc. I assumed but found out pretty quickly that when I use the blade to shave the cheeks, chin and neck area it cuts the beard much quicker than the flat one edge of the blade. I have not seen any "BE CAREFUL" warnings or messages in the literature, and unless I missed them completely due to my poor eyesight, there was nothing quite like it. It's also possible that this type of incident is something new that they didn't anticipate when developing their product. If they were, I'm sure they would have BIG SAFE words saying "WARNING READ THIS MESSAGE FROM NORELCO BEFORE USING THE DEVICE". So I ran the razor blade across my face and shaved off my beard. quickly and I had a close shave for the meeting. About a day after I had time to look in the mirror, I noticed a red circle on my cheek, 3 large spots on my chin, and a spot on my neck. I assumed it was just a rash from the new razor and the face was getting used to it. But what it actually was literally never crossed my mind. Not even the thought of what happened to me crossed my mind. As I mentioned before, I've been shaving for many years and nothing like this has ever happened to me. I thought it was razor rash and just a small rash that would go away in a day or two like any other facial rash I've ever encountered. I had a sunburn or shave with a new razor for the first time. A week later, when those red spots were still there, I decided to examine them very closely through a magnifying glass, and what I saw was startling. Where I used the razor trimmer to shave faster with my new super cordless shaver, each of those red spots turned out to be cuts where the skin on my face had actually been removed. As it had been a week since I used this razor because sometimes I don't shave for a week these red spots started to form what appear to be permanent scars. More than 4 months have passed. Yes I waited so long thinking it was going to go away for some reason and I guess I denied it was what it was (permanently?). I still don't know and I'm writing this in January 2019 and it's still there. . It faded a little, but not much. I kept telling myself that time would pass and these red spots would go away, but they never did. I now have faint scars on my face wherever I have used this razor and may have pressed too hard or run the blade too many times across my face leaving a red mark where not only my beard but the skin in was removed from my face . . Face. I'm at a point now where I don't know what to do. Thought of suing, but who to sue? what are my reasons That I was too stupid not to use the edge of the shaving sand lest I sacrifice my face for a faster shave? But how did I know he would. I have used steel blades, 5 of which were placed side by side and I have never had any permanent scars from it. I haven't seen any warnings in the literature not to use this part of the razor blade. and it was easy to just flip up the blade and use that edge to get a faster shave. Nothing caught my eye and warned me not to run the trimmer blade over my face too often. I didn't need a 3 hour shade for a business meeting, and I didn't have time to run the flat side of the razor 6 times across my face to get a smoother shave. So who is to blame? Who knows. All I know is I haven't used my new razor since seeing those red marks on my face and I'm buying scar ointment here at Revain to try to get my face back to it's before was amazing new technological invention. I uploaded some photos so you should get a pretty good idea of what happened to me by checking out my Norelco before and after photos.

Pros
  • OneBlade replacement blade lasts up to 4 months (for a better shave; based on 2 full shaves per week; actual results may vary)
