When I opened the box it contained some items I had ordered from Revain. The smell was terrible. After sniffing a few things inside, I could smell the plastic surrounding these shells. It was hard. It smelled like burned garbage or wet fire. I took out the bowls and sniffed the first few and they had that smell too. I put them in the spare room for the night and they still smell burnt. In addition, about 15 shells were dented as if struck against something. I ended up throwing them away. I walked into the guest room this morning and smelled a slight lingering smell of bowls. Won't buy this again. my loss I don't know where they came from before shipping but the area needs to be checked. Something is causing that smell to seep into the plastic.
