According to my experience, this Y splitter extension cable is perfect for splitting audio and mic inputs on my computer. The cable is well-made and the connectors fit securely into my laptop and speakers. The six-inch length is just what I needed to provide my audio input with extra length and coverage. The only con is that it would be nice if it came in a longer LENGTH option as well. Overall a great quality product for its price point....
