iPad won't stay in place without tape

A regular Ipad mini 2 was put in and it kept falling out. I had to write it down. This is how it looks sticky. I hope it breaks and then gets back up properly. If you put it on a stand without sealing it and your face is next to it, it will hit you in the face. Maybe it would fit better if it was a little deeper.
