Bought this set for less than β¬50. At first I was looking for a pair of sneakers to replace a pair of my Nikes. I will say I run on treadmills at the gym, not the highway/trail. They are durable and seem to hold up to the use in the gym. I will say that I don't think they will withstand the elements that are present in road running etc. I also don't think they run in the $55 price range for what they are. Here's what I used them for at the gym: Running: Great for running on a treadmill. I usually run a maximum of 2 1/2 miles. They fit well, are comfortable and light enough. Deadlifts: I've done reps up to 365 pounds. They have a rather flat look and are ideal for this. I'd say I'd still prefer toe shoes, but I've had no issues with the shape when using these. Squats: like deadlifts. Rehearsed and lifted up to 300 pounds in them. They work well for this application, but I usually like a little extra buoyancy, but they've caught on. Again, shoe raising or personal preference is probably best. All in all, a decent athletic shoe that replaces two sets of broken, more expensive sneakers is fine.
