AFTER I unpacked this product, I realized that this product is not certified by the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) but is certified by the Electrical Testing Laboratory (ETL). UL creates standards and tests products to ensure they meet those standards. UL standards are used for testing by many other organizations including ETL. ETL does not create standards but uses them to certify products. If you shop at large stores, you will see many more ETL certified products but not UL certified ones. In my engineering career, I have seen our US bases install foreign-made circuit breakers with counterfeit UL and ETL labels, and these devices would not function properly. The bottom line is that the certificates are similar. We encourage you to read all reviews and make your own decision.
