The metal "clasp" is often removed (never during use) and easily put back on (allows you to shorten it if necessary the belt) but annoying that it comes loose almost every time my son takes the strap off. The colors are very neutral and nice, other than that we like the strap. It was hard to guess that this particular feature of the strap (the ability to remove the buckle so you can adjust the length of the strap) was hard to come by.
