Review on Enhanced Skullcandy Crusher ANC Wireless Headphones - Black/Tan, with Personalized Noise Cancelling by Nick Palacio

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A nice, but not great, addition to the Crusher line

Sounds really good, but there are a few wrong steps. Lots of hiss when ANC is engaged pulls you out of that moment. In terms of comfort, they seem to have made the ear cups smaller compared to the Crusher 360, which led to some discomfort after a while. Whereas I could wear my Crusher 360 for hours without any discomfort in my ears. An advantage over the 360 is the bass slider compared to the touch sensor on the previous model. The slider allows for better fine tuning and also doesn't suffer from what I can only describe as a 360 error which causes them to decrease volume when the haptic feedback is increased and revert to the previous volume when the haptic feedback is turned on. off.Pros - ANC - not the best compared to Audio-Technica, but reasonable - Integrated tile tracking for easy location - Physical slider for haptic feedback allows for finer tuning - USB-C charging - one less cable to carry with you to carry around if your current phone uses USB-C. Relatively light weight, especially compared to previous Crusher 360 models. The ear pads are smaller than previous Crusher 360s, which causes some discomfort over time. All plastic construction appears to be of lower quality. This isn't a comment on their durability, but previous Crusher 360s seemed indestructible in comparison - ANC introduces some hiss, so they can't be used to quiet the area without playing any sound to hide the hiss - buttons don't work. As with the Crusher 360, the tactile feedback is quite high. The clicks feel a little soft, with little feedback, and the plus/minus shaped buttons on the 360s really make the buttons easier to identify by touch. In general I am very happy with them. I wish ANC was a little better, but if your music is typically loud enough to drown out the surroundings, ANC is just the icing on the cake.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Tradable
