Review on Rubbermaid LunchBlox Lunch Bag: Stylish and Spacious Medium Black Etch Design by Tamika Lawrence

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fell apart where the handle connects to the bag, but I couldn't find a better fit for the Rubbermaid lunch block system.

I have two of these, black and blue. Black is kind of ugly I would say. Daughter has blue, son has black. This is by far the best I have found to pair well with Rubbermaid food blocks. My son wore black to summer camp and then took it off a few months into the school year, so I looked for something different. Reluctantly took the black again at the end. The breaking point was where a small handle was sewn to the box. It's just sewn into the seam. I reinforced the stitching twice on each side before the fabric became too frayed to redo. Part of the plastic handle to which the strap is attached. They attach much better, but kids don't carry the bag like that, they use a soft grip. Rubbermaid, look out. Sew on this soft handle like the other part of the handle, it turns out MUCH better. I set his water bottle aside. It's a fairly narrow bottle (Contigo Kids Aluminum Cup) but it really stretches that side. It's possible the grip failed as well, as it stretches it a bit. I think the sides are for a doily or something light. It would be nice if one of the side mesh pockets was a bit thicker/deeper to allow drinks to fit better.
