I don't expect it to be much better than the picture. It is easy to assemble and disassemble. I still think it's compact enough to take with us when we go on a trip. I love that it's big enough for your little ones even after they learn to walk, they have enough space to use it as a playground if you want them to stay in one place. I've added this puzzle practice mat below as we have tiled floors to make it safe. I think it's better to add something below if you don't have a thick carpet in the room. The suction cup at the bottom is normal, a nice addition, but if you're the opposite sex then IMHO it's useless. The mesh is good quality BUT if you have pets like us you can teach them not to scratch the mesh with their claws. If you have a playful cat I can see that's a problem, we've had a cat like this before and I can't have anything with a net. The mini zip door is my favorite because it allows me to check in and play with my little one while folding my clothes on the floor. It really helps when I don't feel like bending down to pick up my son, it's also a great way to encourage your baby to crawl towards you. I think for the price you paid it's worth it.
